    This report sets out the findings of a survey of around 300 financial services firms which requested information on the nature... of deployment of machine learning, the business areas where it is used and the maturity of applications. Around a third of the firms responded to the survey. The survey indicates that machine learning is increasingly being used in UK financial services, particularly in the banking and insurance sectors and that firms are seeking additional guidance on how to interpret current regulation. BoE and FCA intend to establish a public-private group to explore some of the questions and technical areas covered in this report.
