  • FCA: PS19/24: Illiquid assets and open-ended funds

    Further to CP18/27, FCA has published feedback and final rules concerning disclosure, liquidity management and suspension of dealing in units. ... The measures are focused on non-UCITS retail schemes. Following feedback, FCA has decided not to proceed with two of the original proposals (the requirement for a manager of a fund investing in inherently illiquid assets to add an “identifier” to the name of the fund and guidance relating to limiting the accumulation of large cash buffers within non-UCITS retail schemes and UCITS funds). Otherwise, FCA states that its final rules do not significantly differ from the rules included in its consultation. Rules come into force on 30 September 2020.
