Launch of the fifth CMS Expert Guide to International Arbitration

International

We live in a connected global environment where the number and complexity of international transactions is ever increasing. Arbitration has long been the preferred method for resolving international commercial disputes. Yet certain key elements of arbitration law still vary across jurisdictions.

We are launching the fifth edition of the CMS Expert Guide to International Arbitration, which builds upon the four previous editions developed over many years.

This edition of the Guide is the first to be entirely online and has been fully updated. The Guide provides a detailed overview of the law and practice of arbitration in a number of jurisdictions. It does not seek to provide an exhaustive academic analysis, but rather a comprehensive, practical and user-friendly insight into the legal frameworks for arbitration across the globe, written by arbitration practitioners working in the relevant jurisdictions.

The first volume of this edition of the CMS Expert Guide to International Arbitration focuses on 12 jurisdictions in Western Europe. Further volumes will follow covering Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, South Asia, South East Asia, the Pacific and the Americas.

In this first volume, the majority of chapters have been authored by CMS arbitration specialists. Additionally, our colleagues from McCann FitzGerald and Setterwalls have kindly contributed chapters for Ireland and Sweden respectively.

Should you require more information or specific advice, whether in the jurisdictions covered here or beyond, please contact the authors identified in each chapter, or your usual CMS contact.
