Cyber Security

Data incidents are becoming a regular occurrence and can involve employees at any level within an organisation. It is important that staff understand how to comply with data protection laws and how to identify cyber threats and data incidents when they arise.

This course aims to raise awareness amongst staff about recognising legal obligations relating to cyber security and personal data breaches and details the common threats that can occur when handling personal data using technology and how these can be mitigated.

Course objectives

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Recognise some key cyber threats
  • Recognise legal obligations in the event of cyber attacks and personal data breaches
  • Understand appropriate security measures that may help to limit cyber threats
  • Understand breach reporting requirements for organisations

Who is it for?

All staff within a business. This is an introductory course so staff with a dedicated privacy function will need additional training.
