Ahiköy I and Ahiköy II hydroelectric power plants to be privatised


On 20 February 2020, the Turkish Official Gazette announced that the Ahiköy I and Ahiköy II Hydroelectric Power Plants and immovables used by these power plants will be privatised through the transfer of operation right method.

The Privatization Administration of Ministry of Treasury and Finance of Turkish Republic made the official announcement in the gazette.

Deadline for application: 5 p.m. TRT, 13 April 2020

Ahiköy I and Ahiköy II Hyrodelectic Power Plants were established in 1999 in Turkey's Sivas province. Both power plants have two units: the installed power of Ahiköy I is 2,028 MW, and Ahiköy II is 2,393 MW. The total annual electrical production of the power plants is 11.44 GWh.

Ahiköy I has the capacity to produce 11.4 GWh and Ahiköy II has a 11.3 GWh production capacity. The deadline for application is 5 p.m. TRT on 13 April 2020.

The tender winner will be awarded operational rights for the Ahiköy I and Ahiköy II Hydroelectric Power Plants and the immovables used by these plants. Furthermore, bidders will be provided with an exemption from tax duties arising from the privatisation procedures.

The bid bond amount is TRY 1 million. Any bid filed without the required bond will be automatically disqualified.
