Ukraine changes tariffs for injection and withdrawal of gas

On 23 July 2019, the National Commission for State Regulation of the Energy and Public Utilities Sector of Ukraine issued Resolution No. 1480 increasing the tariffs for injection and withdrawal of gas to and from Ukrainian underground gas storage.

This resolution was an amendment to Resolution No. 480 On approval of tariffs for storage (injection, withdrawal) of natural gas in the underground storages of JSC “Ukrtransgaz” dated 19 June 2018.

The new tariffs became effective from 1 August 2019.

Specifically, tariffs effective from 1 May 2019 include:

Service Tariffs UAH per 1,000 cubic meters per 1 day
Storage UAH 0.1720 (approximately EUR 0.01*)
(Hence, the annual cost will be UAH 62.78 or EUR 2.18*)
Injection UAH 64.40 (approximately EUR 2.30*)
Withdrawal UAH 67.10 (approximately EUR 2.40*)

The new tariffs (effective from 1 August 2019) include:

Service Tariff UAH per 1,000 cubic meters per 1 day
Storage UAH 0.1720 (approximately EUR 0.01*)
(Hence, the annual cost will be UAH 62.78 or EUR 2.18*)
Injection UAH 93.30 (approximately EUR 3.33*)
Withdrawal UAH 97.20 (approximately EUR 3.48*)
