Investment Alert 2nd onshore license round

Croatia

On 30 January 2019, the Government of the Republic of Croatia issued a Decision on initiating a tender procedure for licenses for exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons in the Dinaric area. The bidding for licenses for exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons in the Dinaric area is conducted for four exploration blocks, with around 12,000 km2 of the total acreage available. The available blocks range from 2,698 km2 to 3,556 km2.

This late-January decision comes in only three months after Croatia had launched the country’s 2nd onshore license round, initially for seven exploration blocks located in Croatia’s highly prolific Pannonian Basin. The total acreage available from the October tender is around 14,000 km2. The available blocks range in size from 1361 to 2634 km2.

The tender documentation for Croatia’s 2nd onshore license round for the seven exploration blocks located in Croatia’s Pannonian Basin is available here. Bids are due on 28 of June 2019.
