With the Senate's adoption on 22 March of the emergency bill amending the Electricity Act 1998 for the timely realization of the objectives of the Energy Agreement for Sustainable Growth, the path for the tender of the first two offshore wind sites, Borssele I and II, is now clear. On its offshore wind website RVO announced that the tender will open on 10 April 2016 and close on 12 May 2016 at 17.00 CET. RVO furthermore published the applications form that can be submitted as of 11 April 2016 and provided further information with regard to the tender procedure.
The second tender, relating to Borssele III and IV, that was initially scheduled to open in October 2016, is now expected to take place in September 2016.
