EU product recall procedures branded 'tough' by Marketing magazine

Trade magazine Marketing this week highlighted the product recall aspect of the EC's General Product Safety Directive. The magazine uses the recent Dasani example (recall of 500,000 bottles of water after finding higher-than-normal levels of chemical bromate) as proof that manufacturers and distributors need to be ready with their plan of action should a product recall be necessary.
