Politics and policies: Two agreements with Israel

United Kingdom

Two agreements have been signed between the EU and Israel on procurement by telecommunications operators and on government procurement. The telecoms procurement agreement is intended to give providers access to purchases of products and services by telecommunications operators.

The agreement on government procurement aims to complement and broaden the scope of the commitments entered into by the EU and Israel under the Multilateral Government Procurement Agreement of 1996 and to improve each party's access to the other's government procurement contracts.
