Update on Adoption of “one-stop-shop” mechanism at customs

Ukraine

On 29 September 2018, the President of Ukraine signed into law amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine, which introduce a “one-stop-shop” mechanism to optimise control procedures at customs.

As reported in a Law-Now article published on 19 July 2018, the main purpose of the amendments is to simplify customs clearance procedures and reduce the time needed for the goods crossing the Ukrainian border to clear customs.

The amendments will enter into force upon their official publication. The state agencies will have a 180-day transition period to implement and prepare for the full-scale use of the “one-stop-shop” mechanism.
