National Bank of Ukraine liberalised the rules on prepayment for imports

With effect from 23 November 2017 the National Bank of Ukraine has removed its mandatory requirement to use letters of credit for prepayments under import contracts if their value exceeds USD5,000,000.

Other foreign exchange restrictions (180-day rule, restriction on set-off, mandatory sale of foreign currency proceeds, etc.) remain in place.
