Ukraine: NBU decreases the key policy rate to 12.5%

The Board of the National Bank of Ukraine has decided to decrease the key policy rate to 12.5%.

The Decision No 318-D “On the Key Policy Rate” (the “Decision No. 318-D”) came into effect on 26 May 2017.

The NBU’s decision to ease monetary policy is aimed at supporting economic growth in Ukraine as well as achieving the inflation targets set for 2017-2018.

The key policy rate was only recently decreased from 14% to 13% by the NBU Decision “On the Key Policy Rate” No. 232- D of 13 April 2017.
