New Procurement Rules effective across the EU from 18 April

Europe

All EU Member States are required to implement a reform package of three EU Directives by 18 April. The new rules are intended to speed up public sector procurement, make it less bureaucratic and more consistent across the EU.

CMS procurement specialists from across the EU will be in London on 20 April hosting the CMS Public Procurement Forum 2016. At this half-day client seminar we will be considering the impact of the new rules on companies bidding for public sector and utilities contracts across the EU. We will cover the state of implementation across the EU and the key changes and aspects of the reforms relevant to businesses that regularly tender for contracts across the EU.

Consistent with CMS’s sector focus the Forum will include a series of breakout sessions looking specifically at the implications of new rules in the context of:

  • Major infrastructure projects
  • IT and outsourcing
  • Healthcare and lifesciences
  • Utilities (the energy, water, transport and postal sectors)

The Forum is targeted at in-house lawyers, bid directors and others working for companies that regularly tender for public and utilities contracts across the EU.
